This workshop was organized by Mechanical Engineering department to enhance the skills and increase the employability of the students. This workshop also addressed queries about fundamentals of I.C. Engine. 65 students of S.E.(Mechanical) and 3 students of T.E.(Mechanical)  drew substantial benefits from this workshop. Following discussions and demonstrations of engine dismantling, assembly, and maintenance (for Hero Honda CD 100 SS Model) were held -  

• Demonstration on engine details- cylinder, bore, piston, connecting rod, crank shaft, inlet and exhaust valves, carburetor etc.
• Multi plate clutch, oil bath, clutch removing and refitting
• Demonstration on Constant Mesh Gear Box
• Capacitive Discharge Ignition system, CDI coils, parts operated on AC-DC Current and its use
• Use of ‘O’ ring set, packing set, engine oil while assembling
• Overhauling of Four Stroke engine head, Valve timing setting
• Fault finding in engine, clutch and ignition system
• Precautions / Care to be taken while assembly of engine
• How to start an assembled engine?
