Training programme on ‘Career Guidance’ in association with Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region) Mumbai, on 21-02-2018

       Training & Placement Cell has oragnised Training Programme on ‘Career Guidance’ for Final Year students on 21-02-2018. The programme was supported by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Western Region, Mumbai. Industry Experts from different domains and specializations guided the students on various topics. Mr. S.C.Sharma, Asst. Director of Training & Asst. Central Apprenticeship Adviser was present during the Inaugural function of the programme.
      During Inauguration, Prof. S.V. Joshi guided about the role of training in the initial phase of a career, Mr. B.A.Patil, Programme Coordinator, mentioned the need of organizing such programmes, subject matter which will be discussed during a day and role of industry in supporting such events. Smt. Sangeeta Tiwary, Project manager, Tata Technologies Limited and Chief Guest for the function emphasized the development of learning attitude in students and developing themselves to increase confidence level. Mr. S.C.Sharma gave the brief overview and implementation of Apprentice Act 1996 and activities carried by BOAT for effective implementation of apprenticeship scheme, apprenticeship training & its benefit. He also emphasized on what role institutes can play for effective implementation of apprenticeship scheme. Total numbers of beneficiaries were 143 students who actively participate in the programme.
       Career Guidance Programme was scheduled in four sessions. Each session was of 90 minutes duration. All the expert speakers take utmost care to keep the session informative, interactive and live and demonstrated the subject matter in a very lucid language.
      Total number of beneficiaries, B.E.(All Branches) = 143 students
